Nothing is exempt from getting dirty. This unfortunate truth makes cleaning a pain. Even if you use some of the other tips that have been suggested to reduce your cleaning load, you will still have to clean everything every now and then. The things that get particularly dirty are objects that do not move, since dust easily settles all over them. If you have any small, precious collectible items around the house, they have dust settle over them, too. Unfortunately, they can be difficult to clean. Not only do you have to be extremely careful with them, but they are also full of ridges, cracks, and other areas that are hard to reach. If you have ever wanted to get these clean, this tip is for you.
The first thing that you should remember is that using your standard cloth can be dangerous. Although it is easy enough to clean the overall item with this cloth, it will probably be too big to clean in the cracks. Do not try to force your way in, since this can break apart the item that you are trying to clean. Instead, try something that is far safer and easier to use. Just find a soft, dry paintbrush. You will probably want to use a small one, like one that is used for water coloring. The bristles of this paintbrush will be able to get dust and loose dirt out of those hard to reach areas without damaging your collectible.
If a paintbrush is not working, or you want something that will do the job just a little bit quicker, try a hair dryer. This is really effective at getting rid of any dust. Just be sure that you have it set to low heat, since your collectible may not be able to handle the hotter air.
