The following is the video's transcript:
Like all appliances, the oven has a tendency to get dirty inside. Unfortunately, unlike most appliances, the oven is extremely difficult to clean out. Many ovens have a "clean selection" that will burn off all the excess items in there, but even those left over ashes can sometimes be difficult to wipe away.
If your oven does not have the clean function, the method most people use is to clean it out with an oven cleaner. It will most likely consist of spraying the cleaner on all dirty parts of the oven, and then letting it sit overnight. Then, in the morning, it is supposed to be very easy to clean out.
If you want to make oven cleaning a real breeze, just try this handy trick. Every time you have a spill, just sprinkle a little salt onto it. You need to catch the spills before they bake on to the oven, otherwise you'll to have to resort to one of the other cleaning methods. When you are through cooking, the stains will just be a pile of ash that you can wipe right out of the oven. Then you will not have to deal with either oven cleaner or that very hot "clean setting" on your oven.
