Cure Sticking Zippers with Lip Balm

Summary: Zippers get stuck and it's always a pain to try and wiggle them free. When your best wiggling efforts aren't working however, you have another option available to you.

I have had so many problems with zippers sticking when I need them to not stick and zip like they're supposed to. It happens on clothes, sweaters, hoodies, backpacks, and just about any other item with zippers you can think of. Sometimes it feels like zippers were meant to stick instead of work. You can spend inordinate amounts of time trying to wiggle a stubborn zipper free, trying to make it so you can zip up that coat on that freezing cold morning. So how can you quickly and efficiently make it so your zippers zip like their supposed to instead of stick?

One of the best tricks is using lip balm as a lubricant to loosen up the zipper. It makes sense, right? Lip balm is greasy enough to make your hands slippery and firm enough so it can get a hold of whatever it needs to. All you have to do is take a bit of lip balm and rub it along the zipper and, using a toothpick or other fine instrument, manage to get some balm into the zipper itself to jumpstart the actual zipping process.

One of the greatest problems with zippers is the fact that they just get stuck, whether that be on an unfortunately sewn piece of fabric, on your hair, or on something else you're wearing, zippers get themselves stuck all the time. When you use lip balm to remedy the situation you have the power to reverse stuck zipper problems and make your zippers run so much more smoothly. You don't have to deal with sticky zippers all the time.

Next time you find your zippers in a tricky situation (or a "sticky" situation), go and grab the lip balm before you drive yourself crazy trying to work it out yourself. Lib balm does work and allows to you free your zippers and wear your clothes like they're meant to be worn. Freeing the stuck zipper isn't impossible! It just takes a little ingenuity and a little work!
