Cover Carpet Stains with Crayons. Since bleach stains don't come out of carpets, the only way to deal with them is to cover them up. For an inexpensive, easy, and permanent solution, use crayons. Simply find a crayon that matches your carpet, color the stain, and melt the wax into the carpet fibers.

Dealing with Carpet Stains. Many types of stains can afflict carpets, from juices and teas to chocolate and chewing gum. With these methods, you'll use things around the house to pick up the most common—and often the nastiest—stains that can afflict carpets. Make sure to keep ammonia around the house, since it can be a handy stain remover on many surfaces.

Remove Gum from Carpet - Video. With all of those rumors running around about how to remove gum from your carpet, it can be hard to know exactly what to do. Well, worry no more, since here is exactly how you can do that, and save your carpet from being a gummy mess.

Remove Gum from Carpet with Peanut Butter. Chewing gum can be nearly impossible to remove once it has gotten stuck to your carpet. It may seem counterintuitive to use another messy substance to clean gum up, but if you work peanut butter into your gummy mess, it will take the "sticky" out of your gum and make it easy to wipe up. Then you can make your own carpet cleaner to wipe up the remaining peanut butter.

Removing Carpet Stains. Carpets are a target for all kinds of stains. Liquids, solids, and gooey, sticky items can be removed with items you have around your home. Dish detergent, alcohol, and ice can work wonders on juice, ink, gum, and many other substances that may find their way into your carpet.

Removing Stains from Auto Carpets. It is best to clean auto carpets after removing them from the car, and to let them dry completely before replacing them. While household carpet-cleaning fluids and auto-cleaning fluids work well to remove stains, rinsing the stain with peroxide followed by vinegar can eliminate stains naturally. Grease stains do require chemical solvents.

Use Shaving Cream on Greasy Carpet Stains. Grease stains are a huge problem, especially in kitchen and dining room carpets. To remove a grease stain from a carpet, spray foam shaving cream over the stain and work it into the carpet fibers. Let the foam dry and vacuum it and the stain away.
