Use Air Freshener to Clean Your Mirrors

Written by Amy Gordon (last updated April 20, 2020)

For those of you out there trying to make your cleaning routine just a little bit quicker, try this handy little tip. It will not seem like that much of a time saver, but if you combine enough of these little time savers together, it will end up saving quite a lot of time in the end. The great thing about this great tip is that it can even save some space on your cleaning shelf.

Windex and similar glass cleaners have become an almost universal cleaner in many households. For those who have seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding you have this in action, with one character using Windex to heal wounds and clean the body! Those reading this know that although glass cleaner will make most surfaces look nice, it will not clean bacteria off as it should. Still, it can make a very useful addition to any cleaning supply.

If, however, you want to try something a little different to clean off your glass, and especially your mirrors, try this handy little tip. Instead of using glass cleaners for their standard duty, try using aerosol air fresheners. These work just as well as glass cleaner for removing those nasty spots from your mirrors. As an additional bonus, it smells great. Some air fresheners even contain an anti-bacterial ingredient that will help in sanitizing your glass tables and doors, which get touched often.

Using one cleaner to do two or more different chores will be very helpful to get things done faster. Air freshener has many purposes. Not only will it keep your glass crystal clear, it will also wipe out any bad odors in your house. This can also save on a little money, since you will no longer need to buy both air freshener and Windex. You could even use that little bit of saved money and buy that special air freshening scent that you have been eyeing, and you can make all the rooms in your home have a different and wonderful scent.
