Many of us depend on our vehicle to get us where we need to go each day. Having an automobile that runs well and is safe can give us peace of mind as we travel. But there is more to your vehicle's health than this, however. To keep your ride in great condition, you must also consider how clean it is.
For those who own a pick-up truck, keeping the vehicle clean can sometimes be an extra challenge. Since many trucks are meant to handle tough and dirty situations, you may find yourself needing to give it a deep cleaning more often. If you take your truck off-road or use it to move things on a regular basis, chances are that it is in need of a good wash.
To get a truck really clean, you will need to prepare before you start cleaning. This means gathering the necessary supplies to make the cleaning process successful, as well as knowing which methods are most effective for cleaning. Be sure you have tools such as soap, sponges, hose, glass cleaner, all-purpose cleaner, and a vacuum with attachments ready so you can get your truck looking great inside and out.
To begin washing the exterior of the vehicle, fill a bucket with some soapy water and use a sponge to apply it to the truck. Scrub away any dirt, dead bugs, or other build-up on the truck. Once you've finished scrubbing, turn on the hose and rinse away the soap to reveal a clean truck. If you find stubborn spots, try scrubbing again until your loosen the dirt and can wipe it away easily. After washing the truck, don't forget to clean the wheels and hubcaps as well.
Now it's time to work on the interior of the truck. Remove everything you can from the inside, then vacuum the floor and upholstery. Use all-purpose cleaner to remove any spots or stains you find on the seats or floor. Spray some glass cleaner on the windows and wipe away with a paper towel for a streak-free surface. You may also want to dust off the dashboard and use a cotton swab to wipe away dirt in hard-to-reach places.
Of course, if you're looking for convenience you may prefer to simply take your car to a carwash. By doing this, you will have everything you need to clean available such as hoses, soap, and vacuums. However you choose to go about cleaning your truck, be sure you remember to take the time once in a while to clean your vehicle inside and out.
