Quickly Tumble Dry Your Clothes

Laundry days are often screaming for more time because it always seems like there's more laundry to be done. You may not be able to give yourself more time, but you can minimize the time it takes for some things, giving you more time to apply toward other responsibilities.

One of the chores on you can cut time is your tumble dry loads of laundry. By speeding up how long it takes to tumble dry your clothes, you'll be doing yourself a great favor and allow yourself to apply that time to something else you need to do.

Make sure that your washer has a good spin cycle. By spinning off excess water, the clothes will be in a much better condition to be dried quickly in the tumble dry load. The less wet the clothes are when you put them in, the less time it will take for them to dry. Another way that will speed up tumble drying time is to shake each item as you take it out of the machine before putting it in the dryer. It really works and can cut the dryer running time by up to ten minutes.

Put the tumble dryer on a high heat setting. The higher temperature the heat, the more effective it will be in drying your clothes. This may not be the most economical or environmental way to do things, but it is effective. To speed up the time that it will take for your washing to dry in the tumble dryer, you can also toss in a couple of dry towels. The towels will absorb some of the moisture and speed the drying process.

Tumble drying your clothes quickly isn't hard and definitely will save you valuable time and money (not to mention energy). If you can apply these simple principles to your laundry routine, you'll never want to go back to the longer way of doing things.

I quickly tumble dry my clothes with a dry towel for about five minutes, then hang the clothes up while they’re still damp. This saves energy and gets the wrinkles out nicely.
