Cleaning pool water can often seem to be more of an art, than a science. • Cyanuric acid. There are times when chlorine alone will not do the job when cleaning pool water. If you do not periodically check, and replace your filter medium, then you will quickly find yourself playing a guessing game when it comes to cleaning pool water. Be sure that you refer to your owner's manual on the proper method for how to check your filter, as well as how to change it.
• Professionally test the water. A great method for determining the best way to go about cleaning pool water is to get it professionally tested. Simply collect a sample of your pool water in a clean one-quart container and take it to the pool store. The professionals at the store will be able to test the water, as well as suggest which chemicals may work best to help you in getting that pool clean. • Check your suction line. One common cause for having difficulty in cleaning pool water, that there is a problem with your suction line.
