Kitchen Cleaner

Keeping your house clean allows you to maintain an atmosphere of neatness and order. Although cleaning might seem like an annoying chore that can become overwhelming, as long as you keep up with the little things each day you should be successful in keeping your house looking great.

One of the most important areas of your home to keep clean is the kitchen. Since you prepare food, serve meals, and spend time in the kitchen, you should be certain that it is very clean and well sanitized. All surfaces should be properly cleaned often to ensure that germs do not spread and your family stays healthy.

In order to maintain the kitchen's cleanliness, you will need to use certain cleaners to get the job done right:

  • Multi-purpose cleaner. For general cleaning in the kitchen, use a multi-purpose cleaner to wipe away messes on most surfaces. Spray and wipe with a paper towel or rag to clean when needed. You can find multi-purpose cleaners that are more natural if chemicals are a concern.
  • Floor cleaner. Depending on the type of flooring in the kitchen, you will need a specific cleaner. Look for cleaners that are formulated for tile, laminate, wood, or whatever material your kitchen floor is made of. For most floors, just mix the cleaner with water and mop the area to remove dirt and build-up. Wood floors may need polish and other cleaners to avoid damaging them.
  • Vinegar solution. Use vinegar as a natural cleaner in the kitchen. Mix vinegar with water in a spray bottle, then use to spray surfaces like windows, counters, and stovetops. Wipe away the solution with a paper towel or rag.
  • Cabinet cleaner. The cabinets in the kitchen can become dirty and greasy. Depending on the finish on your cabinets, you will need to select a certain cleaner. Follow the cabinet manufacturer's instructions if you need more information on your cabinets and how to best clean them.
  • Disinfecting cleaner. If you prepare certain foods, especially raw meat, on the counter, be sure to clean up afterwards with a disinfecting cleaner. This kills germs and prevents the spread of illness.

Your kitchen needs to be clean and free of germs so you can feel safe about spending time and preparing food there. Keep the proper cleaners on hand and you will be able to clean up anything you need to quickly and easily.
